Mersal; Postage Stamp Foundation
Mersal means the messenger, a person who carries a message or is employed to carry messages.
Mersal Foundation is a non-profit organisation established in Beirut to preserve and study postage stamps from the Middle East. It holds a collection of a thousand number of stamps from the 19th century to the present day.
This foundation curates exhibitions about stamps and invites collectors and stamp enthusiasts to reflect about them and criticise different themes and different topics.
Mersal's project includes a visual identity, way finding system in an exhibition space and collectible items.
Final year project at the American University of Beirut.
